Children’s Pastor: Josh Hutton with his wife Kristie Hutton
At GLOW Kids we learn how God Lights Our Way through a world filled with darkness!
Our Mission:
GROW in our Faith
LEARN to Trust God
OBEY God’s Holy Word
WITNESS to other kids
Our Scripture is John 8:12b where Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life.”
We meet on Sunday’s at 10 AM and Wednesday’s at 7 PM in the GLOWZone and would love for you to join us!
We focus on lesson series that help apply Biblical principles to kid’s daily lives. Our goal is that they grow and share God’s love with their friends and families. We also decorate the GLOW Zone to match each lesson series that we are learning to make it fresh and immerse the kids into the Living Word of God.
Josh and Kristie have been members of Apopka Calvary since the mid 1990’s. They are high school sweethearts and graduates of Apopka High School (Josh in 2002 and Kristie in 2003). They were married in May 2007 at Apopka Calvary. They have four daughters Aria, Brinlee, Caelyn and Dawsyn.
Josh is a 3rd generation pastor and graduated from Warner Southern College (now Warner University) in May of 2007 with a Bachelor’s in Church Ministry. Josh currently works at Apopka High School teaching in the Engineering Magnet.
Kristie graduated in December of 2007 from the University of Central Florida with her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching at Apopka Elementary School since 2009 and currently teaches 2nd grade.
Together they have been active in the church in many areas. They have both worked with the youth group since graduating high school. They have taught Sunday School classes for the 2’s and 3’s, worked in the nursery and helped in Children’s Church when Josh’s dad was the Children’s Pastor.
Josh and Kristie have always felt called to working with kids and youth and are ecstatic for this opportunity that God has blessed them with. Their backgrounds deeply rooted in the Nazarene church and education are a tribue to God truly equipping those He has called.

Our Spaghetti Showdown Fundraiser and Family Sunday were a huge success! We want to thank everyone for coming and participating. Our GLOW Kids started off the service as greeters and handed out the bulletins, they served as ushers, recited TWO memory verses and did church clap and BIG House!
At lunch the GLOW Kids served salad, breadsticks, tea, lemonade, water spaghetti and cookies. We played Christian song BINGO, “What to Bring to Camp”, and had a great time.
We hope you enjoy our slideshow and we’ll see you at our next event!!
